Seiko Restoration: White Lordmatic
Giving new life to a 50 year old watch

The Seiko Lordmatic is a classic piece of Japanese watchmaking from the late 1960s to 1970s. Positioned just below the high-end King Seiko line, the Lordmatic often featured mid-to-high grade movements.
This one is a 5606-7070. Super thin. 28800 bph. Hacking. Smooth tiny clicks when winding.
The watch had seen better days. I began by removing the bezel. The case was filthy and covered in deep scratches from years of wear.
I removed all the internal and external pieces. Cleaned everything. And then polished the case and bezel. I taped it off the case so I could polish just the edges without affecting the brushed surfaces.
And for the final result: looks pretty good for a heavily worn 50 year old watch.
